Pigments & Dyes Market Information This Week (9th Oct. – 16th Oct.)

Glad to keep our market information updated for the Second week of October (the first week of October was National Holidays in China):

Organic Pigments:

The price of raw materials for DCB has increased to meet its growing demand, like phthalic anhydride, phenol, and aniline.

So DCB has a high possibility of price-arising. Now the DCB factory has stopped the quotation.

Relevant pigments: PY12, PY13, PY14, PY17, PY83, PO13, PO16.

 The price of 2B acid (the main raw material of Azo Pigments) has fluctuated since before the holiday, and the price is likely to go up.

Relevant Pigment: PR 48:1, PR48:3, PR48:4, PR53:1, PR57:1.

AABI remained in a stable situation. The price for large quantities can be negotiated due to the weak market.

Relevant Pigment: PY180, PO64, PY151, PY154.

 Last week, the price of yellow phosphorus (the main raw material of Quinacridone Pigment) rose a little bit, but not enough to affect the pigment.

Relevant Pigment: PR122, PV19.

 Last week, Phthalic anhydride, cuprous chloride, and ammonium lacrimal acid (the main raw material of Phthalocyanine pigment) all rose in price, so the cost of Phthalocyanine pigment would increase accordingly after the holiday.

Relevant Pigment: PB15 series & PG7.

Solvent Dyes

Though the dye market was still in a weak trend last week, the price of basic materials (aniline, hydrochloric acid, liquid caustic soda, and o-toluidin) has kept increasing.

DMF has stopped falling and will be increased in the following days, as well as the below materials.

PMP: the material of SY93, SY14, SY16, SY56, SY72.

1, 8-diaminothalene: the material of SR135, SO60.

1-Nitroanthraquinone: the material of SR111, SR52, SR149.

1.4 dihydroxy anthraquinone: the material of SB35, SB36, SB78, SB97, SB104, SG3, SV13.

In our opinion, most of the dyes are at a low level now and there is a high possibility of price-rising after the holidays, so it’s sincerely suggested to confirm the order to lock in the price and goods.
